Could you support someone in distress right now?

Find out in five to ten minutes. Practise a real conversation with an AI role-play partner, in your own words. Free.

What you get at the end

  • You are assessed on how you did, against the LIFT moves a trained responder uses.
  • You are told where you can improve, and what to try next time.
  • You see how your skills compare, so you know where you stand.
  • Five to ten minutes
  • Voice, or type
  • Private. Nothing is shared with an employer.

How it works

Three steps. One real conversation.

  1. 1

Pick a colleague and a level

The coach welcomes you, you choose one of four colleagues and how hard it gets, then you are in the scenario.

  2. 2

    Have the conversation

Live, in your own words, by voice or by typing. The partner responds the way a real person would.

  3. 3

    Get your assessment

The coach debriefs you on the full LIFT framework: what landed, where to improve, how you compare.

What you are assessed on

LIFT, the conversation that helps

The coach scores you against the same framework Mental Health First Responders are trained in. Four moves, in order, and only the next one once the person is safe and steady.

  1. L

Listen with attention and intention. Empathic presence, no jumping in.

  2. I

Inquire with needs-based questions. How are you feeling? What is the hardest part?

  3. F

Find a way forward together. Supports, options, one small next step.

  4. T

Thank them for their character strengths, and close safely.
